DESCRIPTION:Chicago-based quartet The Special Consensus is the crown jewel of the Midwestern bluegrass scene. Led by Greg Cahill\, banjo player and recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Achievement Award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA)\, the band also includes Dan Eubanks (bass)\, Greg Blake (guitar) and Michael Prewitt (mandolin). Together\, Special Consensus has received eight awards from the IBMA and two Grammy nominations (Scratch Gravel Road in 2012 and Rivers and Roads in 2018). They are four talented vocalists and instrumentalists who follow their creative desires without straying too far from their bluegrass roots.

She revealed this titanic change on social media on Tuesday (5-13). Tuttle’s future dates will all feature the new lineup\, save for a headlining appearance at Rockygrass in Colorado with the Golden Highway lineup in late July. \n“Excited for a new chapter… Can’t wait to get out on the road this summer with an all new incredible band\,” Tuttle said in a statement. “We have been in rehearsals all week and I can promise you won’t want to miss this!” \n \n

All four members possessing a knack for storytelling\, compelling songwriting and intricate instrumentation\, each offers the utmost artistic prowess\, building on one another’s magic night after night. \nRooted in tradition yet unafraid to venture into new musical territory\, the Prowlers occupy a space that defies easy categorization; one that is consistently fresh\, relevant\, and captivating. To date\, the band has toured 30 countries across five continents\, collaborating with the U.S. State Department and through their own nonprofit\, Bluegrass Ambassadors. These global experiences have not only shaped their worldview but also reinforced their mission: to build bridges between cultures through music.
