SUMMARY:Dan Tyminski - The Argo Whitefish Bay
DESCRIPTION:Dan Tyminski was six years old when his parents began taking him to fiddle contests\, square dances\, and bluegrass festivals across New England. For a young musician who would later become one of the biggest names in modern-day bluegrass\, those early experiences were life changing. \n“Watching live music always spoke to me much louder than sitting in front of my record player\,” he remembers. “I loved it. Wherever music was being played\, I wanted to go watch. Years later\, I still feel that way.” \nThroughout his 30+ year career\, Tyminski has left his mark in every corner of modern music. His voice famously accompanies George Clooney’s performance of the Stanley Brothers’ classic song\, “I Am A Man of Constant Sorrow\,” in the film\, Oh Brother\, Where Art Thou? and his vocal collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii on the song “Hey Brother” was a global smash\, having been streamed more than a billion times to date. His diverse solo projects and years of work with Alison Krauss and Union Station have yielded troves of award-winning music. \nIn recent years\, Tyminski’s live shows with the Dan Tyminski Band have become bluegrass fan favorites and are regularly on the must-see lists among music fans of any genre.

SUMMARY:STONE OAK REUNION CONCERT - MUSO MADISON
DESCRIPTION:In the late 1970s and early 1980s\, the Stone Oak Bluegrass Band crisscrossed the upper Midwest — from the Mississippi River to Lake Michigan\, from the Illinois border to the far reaches of the North Woods — delighting hundreds… thousands… perhaps even tens of thousands with their infectious blend of Bluegrass\, Newgrass\, and Western Swing. \nIn the decades since\, Stone Oak’s members have each helped shape the rich musical landscape of the Wisconsin scene. \nSims Delaney-Potthoff attended Berklee College of Music in the 1980s and has been the mandolinist and band leader of Harmonious Wail. \nTom Waslechuk has performed in numerous Madison-area groups\, including Harmonious Wail\, Full Count Jazz Band\, The Dang-Its\, and is currently with The Honey Pies. \nDoug DeRosa has long been the backbone of Honor Among Thieves and is currently fronting The Grouvin’ Brothers. \nMax Winkels has remained a vital force in the regional acoustic music community\, lending his driving rhythm and deep bluegrass sensibility to bands Sugar Bush and Old Time Nouveau. \n

SUMMARY:Molly Tuttle & Maggie Rose Pabst Theatre-Milwaukee
DESCRIPTION:ABOUT MOLLY TUTTLE \nMolly Tuttle is a Grammy-winning singer\, songwriter\, and virtuosic guitarist whose innovative blend of bluegrass\, Americana\, pop\, and rock has made her one of the most dynamic artists in modern roots music. In 2025\, she released her boldest statement yet\, the critically acclaimed So Long Little Miss Sunshine\, nominated for two GRAMMY® Awards—Best Americana Album and Best Americana Performance for the lead single “That’s Gonna Leave A Mark.” Recorded in Nashville with producer Mike Joyce (Orville Peck\, Miranda Lambert\, Lainey Wilson)\, the album marks Tuttle’s fifth full-length release and her most ambitious reinvention to date: a vibrant\, deeply personal body of work rooted in self-acceptance and transformation.\nA highly decorated artist\, Tuttle has been nominated for 5 GRAMMY Awards (including in the Best New Artist category) and earned back-to-back GRAMMY wins for Best Bluegrass Album with her band Golden Highway – Crooked Tree (2022) and City of Gold (2023) – becoming the first artist in the category’s history to do so. She is also the first woman to receive the IBMA Guitar Player of the Year award\, alongside multiple additional IBMA and Americana Music Awards. \nABOUT MAGGIE ROSE \n2x GRAMMY-nominated singer-songwriter Maggie Rose continues to win over fans and critics alike. Her widely acclaimed album No One Gets Out Alive was nominated for a GRAMMY Award for Best Americana Album\, with Rolling Stone naming it one of the best albums of 2024. Billboard called it “superb” and American Songwriter hailed it as “moving” and “triumphant.”  Her memorable TV performances include appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live!\, CBS Saturday Morning\, Kelly Clarkson Show and NBC’s Today. \nMaggie kicked off 2025 performing with My Morning Jacket at MusiCares to honor The Grateful Dead\, and also released a reimagining of the Bonnie Raitt classic\, “I Can’t Make You Love Me\,” with the iconic Vince Gill. \nHer 2025 EP Cocoon features the smoldering Grace Potter collaboration “Poison in My Well\,” which was recently nominated for a GRAMMY for Best Americana Performance.  Longtime collaborator Ben Tanner co-produced the EP with Davis Naish. Naish also co-wrote another new track “Sting” with Maggie\, Natalie Hemby (The Highwomen) and Steph Jones (Sabrina Carpenter\, Teddy Swims). \nRose earned an Americana Music Association nomination for Emerging Act Of The Year and performed a special concert with the Nashville Symphony at AmericanaFest to mark the occasion. Other festival stops include Newport Folk Fest\, Bonnaroo\, Austin City Limits\, Telluride Blues\, and Pilgrimage Festival among others. \nA respected fixture of the Nashville community\, Maggie has played the iconic Grand Ole Opry over 100 times. A true road warrior\, she has shared the stage with the likes of Chris Stapleton\, Kelly Clarkson\, Dave Matthews Band\, Tedeschi Trucks Band\, Heart\, Joan Jett\, Eric Church\, Gov’t Mule\, and Melissa Etheridge among others. \nRose hosts her own podcast\, Salute The Songbird\, where she engages in candid conversations with her female musical heroes such as Heart’s Nancy Wilson\, Susan Tedeschi\, Joy Oladokun\, Martina McBride\, Molly Tuttle and more.

SUMMARY:MARK HEMBREE BAND - CAFE CARPE FORT ATKINSON
DESCRIPTION:About That Hembree\nMark Hembree started his music career in Wisconsin in the 1970s\, and before long he was hosting a live radio show from the Glenmore Opera House near Green Bay. After a couple of years in Denver with the Monroe Doctrine\, he returned to Wisconsin briefly before an audition at a local festival netted a job with Country Music Hall of Fame legend Bill Monroe\, the Father of Bluegrass Music. He became a Blue Grass Boy in 1979 and worked with Monroe for five years\, then was one of the founding members of the Nashville Bluegrass Band. While in Nashville he recorded with several well-known artists\, including the all-star band Dreadful Snakes (with Jerry Douglas\, Béla Fleck\, Roland White\, Blaine Sprouse\, and Pat Enright) and Peter Rowan (on the Grammy-nominated album “New Moon Rising”). He returned to Wisconsin in 1989\, played with local bluegrass groups the Rounders and Nob Hill Boys\, and Western swing bands the Western Box Turtles (including Asleep at the Wheel steel guitarist Eddie Rivers) and his own group\, the Best Westerns.\n\nAdditionally\, Hembree has appeared as a guest lecturer and instructor at various music workshops\, seminars\, and film presentations\, as well as in Bill Monroe tribute shows on “A Prairie Home Companion” and at North Carolina’s MerleFest (performing with Del McCoury\, Roland White\, Blake Williams\, Peter Rowan\, and Bobby Hicks). He also appears in the feature-length documentary film “Powerful: Bill Monroe Remembered\,” directed by Joe Gray and produced by the International Bluegrass Music Museum.\n\nThe Band\nAs experienced journeymen of the WI bluegrass scene\, Michael Falk\, Starr Moss\, ‘Nick’ Vanhaute\, Paul Kienitz (Bigtooth\, Squirrel Gravy\, Shauncey Ali Quartet\, New Pioneers\, Nob Hill Boys\, etc.)…you can count on solid back-up\, a unique blend of driving classics\, original songs and masterly instrumentals that support the bands sound.
